Raising kids has never been easy, but the 21st century has brought a whole new set of difficulties and opportunities for parents and guardians. How do we navigate the topics of our children's mental health, gender & sexuality, and social media, in addition to all of the timeless parenting problems?
We invite you to Family Weekend at Tabernacle, where we'll be learning what the Bible has to say about our role as parents & guardians, and how it speaks across 2,000 years to the questions we have today! -
Pastor Dennis Fountain - Dennis has been involved in parenting & youth ministry for almost 20 years. He planted Moses Lake Baptist Church in Moses Lake, WA fourteen years ago and now ministers to hundreds of people each week. He is also a John Maxwell Leadership-certified coach, and has served as a chaplain for law enforcement for almost two decades.
Hannah Fountain - Hannah is a small business owner, an accomplished artist, and a phenomenal Bible teacher. Her ability to teach God’s Word and explain the beauty of God’s design for life will be an incredible blessing to you. She and Dennis have raised three exceptional young adults, and have valuable insights into parenting in the 21st century.
-
Pastor Timothy Raymaker - Timothy has been serving in youth ministry for the past 10 years, leading VBS-style rallies across the country, pastoring local youth groups, and helping parents and children discover their purpose in Jesus. Through his energy, love of the Bible, and amazing ability to foster a safe environment of play and learning, he will make Saturday’s Kids’ Rally something your kids will remember fondly!
What to expect
-
Parking
Many attenders choose to park in our parking lot, which is accessed most easily from Bennett Road. Some people also choose to park on Bennett Road itself, whether on the side closest to the church, or on the side closest to Middlesex Elementary.
-
The Buildings
The building closest to our parking lot is the Education Building, where our nurseries are located, as well as several of our small groups. You can drop off your nursery-age kids (0-5 years old) in the Education Building after the meal on Friday night and Saturday if you’d like!
Our church building houses the sanctuary where the sessions will take place. It is also wheelchair accessible. Use the sidewalk between the two buildings to easily get to the stairs or ramp that will take you up to the front door of the church
-
Where To Go
As you enter the church building, the sanctuary is on your immediate left. We have a bathroom available downstairs, which is accessible by stairs or a chair lift.
